Cost of Corrosion
The cost of corrosion can be quantified in many ways and this presentation looks at the effects and the cost of corrosion on Military, Naval and Aerospace systems and components. Lancia and FIAT lost the US market due to corrosion in 1972 and have never recovered, the US government sees the cost of corrosion at 3.14% of the US GDP, or $ 342 billion per year of which $ 20 billion is Defence related and this presentation looks at short, medium, and long term methods of corrosion free storage.
