Privacy Notice

Use of cookies by this website

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

The COG website uses one normal cookie to store a member's 'logged-on' status and on some pages, 'session variables' (a type of non-invasive cookie).

The 'logged-on' cookie lasts for nine hours from when a member logs on, (or less if they log out) BUT is only used if the user's browser is set to support cookies. Your organisation's security policy may prohibit the use of such cookies.

The session variables are used for logged-on status if your browser does NOT support cookies and for passing variables between pages (when looking at company entries for instance) and are always destroyed when the browser is closed.

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
